Daniel Seabrook Photography | My Photography Kit

  • Nikon D7100
    • i upgraded to this camera in 2013 and it does everything I need to and more. A very capable camera although I would love to upgrade to a D500 I think some of my aging lenses are first for the upgrade treatment.

  • Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 35mm 1:1.8G
    • probably the equivalent of a 50mm on a full frame sensor this small lense is a little gem for the money. Mainly used during bourdoir shoots
  • Nikon DX 50mm f1.8
    • another cracking prime lense. I use this for close ups at automation and aviation events
  • Sigma 150-500mm f5 -6.3
    • my oldest lense now and sadly. Is showing its age. Purchased from eBay back in 2011 this lense is great for wildlife photography especially in hides. I have used this for airshows and motorsport events however it's a tad heavy after a while. Would like to replace this with a 150-600mm contemporary lense at some point
  • Sigma 70-200mm f2.8
    • one of my favourite lenses for its versatility. Used from weddings to motorsport love its sharpestness and its speed
  • Sigma 10-20mm f3.5
    • my widest angle lenses. I borrowed one of these lenses from lens for hire a couple of times and loved it so much I bought my own. Perfect for landscapes and will be trying some Astrophography with this lense this year.
  • Sigma 20-105mm f4
    • my favourite lense. One of the Art lenses from Sigma and I can't recommend this one enough. Constant aperture makes it perfect for some many events.

Monopod & Tripods

  • Jessops Fibreglass Tripod
    • i purchased this back in 2011 and it does the job. It's light but that means it does need a sandbag to help its stability. Could also do with a different tripod head thinking of replacing it with a Manfrotto one with the same quick release plate I have attached on the monopod
  • Manfrotto Monopod
    • i got given this by my friend Andy when he was moving house and found it. Super sturdy monopod that had been up mountains and on many long walks. Fitted a monopod head that allows different angles which a quick release plate
  • Manfrotto Travel Monopod
    • this is a gem of of a monopod providing you're not using a heavy lense. Perfect for walks with the landscape lense fitted to the camera. It's not the strongest at full height but used 3/4 of each stage and it's q unite stable

Speed lights (Flash Guns)

  • Sigma Speed light
    • not really used this in anger. Need to develop my speed light skills. This speed light much better than the glotzy
  • Glotzy Speed light
    • purchased to use at a friends wedding it's not the best

i have have other kit I need to review like bags, camera straps, SD Cards, filters etc. Will be adding them in due course
